Audioquest Tower Interconnect 3.5mm-RCA
58,95 $ – 310,95 $
Description
Introducing the “Tower Bridge” Analog-Audio Interconnect Cable, inspired by London’s iconic structure.
Within our Bridges & Falls series, you’ll discover enhanced materials and advanced technologies such as Air-Tube insulation, the Dielectric-Bias System, and the Noise-Dissipation System, all offered at more accessible price points than ever before.
Please take note: All cables within our Bridges & Falls Series cleverly house their left and right channels within a single jacket. They incorporate our innovative Asymmetrical Double-Balanced geometry, featuring separate high-quality positive and negative conductors. This design results in a slim, flexible, and exceptionally versatile high-performance cable that can accommodate a range of contemporary connectors, including 3.5mm (male or female), DIN, and RCA. It’s worth considering that due to the necessary design, the connectors on Bridges & Falls cables are relatively close together. If the left and right inputs on your components are spaced more than 3 inches (7.6cm) apart, you may wish to explore models from our Rivers or Elements Series.
Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry Specifically engineered for single-ended applications, the Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry is designed to achieve a lower impedance on the ground, resulting in a richer and more dynamic audio experience. Unlike many single-ended cable designs that employ a single path for both the ground and the shield, Double-Balanced designs separate the two, ensuring cleaner and quieter performance.
Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation While achieving 100% shield coverage is relatively straightforward, preventing captured radio-frequency interference (RFI) from modulating the equipment’s ground reference demands AudioQuest’s Noise-Dissipation technology. Traditional shield systems typically absorb and then drain noise and RF energy to the component ground, thereby modulating and distorting the crucial “reference” ground plane, leading to signal distortion. Noise-Dissipation acts as a protective barrier for the shield, effectively absorbing and reflecting most of the incoming noise and RF energy before it can reach the ground layer.
Cold-Welded, Gold-Plated Terminations This plug design allows for a solderless connection, which eliminates a common source of distortion associated with soldered connections. Instead of solder, a high-pressure technique is used. The ground shells are stamped rather than machined, allowing the choice of low-distortion metals rather than prioritizing machinability.
Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) Conductors Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors provide a smoother and clearer sound compared to cables using standard Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity (OFHC) copper. Solid conductors prevent strand interaction, a significant source of distortion. Surface quality is crucial because a conductor serves as a guide for both electric fields within the conductor and magnetic fields outside it. LGC contains fewer oxides, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries, resulting in superior performance.
Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation Any solid material in close proximity to a conductor is, in essence, a part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials have the capacity to absorb and store energy, releasing it as distortion over time. As air absorbs minimal energy and Polyethylene offers low-loss properties with a benign distortion profile, Foamed-PE insulation, featuring high air content, minimizes the out-of-focus effects commonly associated with other materials.
