The RPM 5 Carbon embraces a radical concept with numerous innovations, inspired by its larger sibling, the RPM 9 Carbon: A low-resonance chassis supports a newly designed inverted platter bearing with a ceramic ball to further reduce unwanted vibrations. The acoustically inert platter is crafted from acrylic. An external 15V AC motor is smoothly driven using an ultra-precision AC generator with continuous DC power for enhanced speed stability. The elegant 9″ Evo carbon tonearm is suitable for high-quality MM or MC cartridges. A TPE-damped counterweight eliminates undesirable resonances.
The RPM 5 Carbon is available with or without the Ortofon 2M-Silver cartridge. A super-shielded, semi-symmetrical, low-capacitance Pro-Ject Connect it E phono cable is included.
