From the very first notes, you’ll hear musicians and instruments in an entirely new way. Voices seemingly appear out of nowhere and float around your head. The piano is positioned in front of you on the left, singers in front of your forehead, while the drums are slightly forward of them. We CNC machine and finish all aluminum frame components, produce our planar speaker drivers, and skillfully assemble the AB1266 Phi TC with U.S.-made stainless steel hardware, all within our own facility in Buffalo, New York, USA. The chassis consists of left and right side frames and an adjustable two-piece headband. There are no plastic parts that can break; all components are machined from solid aluminum for exceptional strength. Integrated resonance control ensures minimal added coloration. The high-quality two-tone polymer ceramic finish is the world’s hardest thin film coating. Our patented planar magnetic transducer design, utilizing our very thin and low-mass diaphragm, delivers effortless dynamics and low-level detail retrieval in the bass, mids, and highs, creating a spatial soundstage that extends beyond your head. It provides a front-row listening experience with impressive bass impact that few other headphones can match, reminiscent of the finest loudspeakers in a private room. We use matched driver pairs, unique custom-made high-power neodymium magnets with an optimized slot pattern, low-carbon steel front baffles with integrated resonance control, and foamed aluminum sides acoustically tuned to our planar diaphragm for a fully open sound. High-quality soft lambskin ear pads offer comfort and finely tuned acoustics. Their magnetically adjustable positioning allows you to fine-tune acoustics and fit for your music and you. A beautifully crafted padded French leather headband with head movement isolation ensures even weight distribution for hours of comfortable wear. The appearance is deceiving; these headphones are designed not to clamp your head but to float gently above and touch your ears lightly. The ‘ABYSS’ embossed logo is a mark of quality. Serial numbers are permanently laser-engraved for traceability and collectibility.
