Description
AudioQuest Cherry Cola 48 Active Optical HDMI is AudioQuest’s top-tier solution for extended HDMI applications requiring the full 48Gbps/8K bandwidth, all without the need for an external power source.
Available in lengths of 5m, 10m, and 15m, Cherry Cola 48 stands as the premier choice for lengthy HDMI applications. Whether you’re currently using 4K/120 or 8K/60, Cherry Cola 48 delivers exceptional performance for 10.2Gbps, 18Gbps, and 48Gbps sources, all while eliminating the need for an external power source.
For longer cable lengths (20m, 25m, 30m), Cherry Cola 18 maintains its reputation for superior low-noise performance. Cherry Cola 18 initially set the bar, which Cherry Cola 48 carries forward, featuring AudioQuest’s Level-4+ Noise-Dissipation technology:
- Galvanic-Isolation offers RF-immunity for A/V signals.
- Silver-Plated Ground-Reference.
- All-metal conductors are direction-controlled, including control and power conductors.
- Global-Carbon Mesh-Network Noise-Dissipation.
While eARC is not commonly used in video projector setups, AudioQuest maintains its always-prepared approach. Similar to Cherry Cola 18, Cherry Cola 48 utilizes Silver-Plated eARC conductors.
To simplify installations, Cherry Cola 48 incorporates a Plenum-rated fire-retardant jacket and compact plugs.
48Gbps Bandwidth
AudioQuest’s “48” HDMI cables can handle professional 10K Ultra-HD video with their 48Gbps bandwidth, which is achieved through four balanced audio/video pairs, each capable of 12Gbps. The precision and stricter manufacturing tolerances required to create HDMI cables capable of transferring up to 48Gbps make many of AudioQuest’s proven techniques and components more crucial than ever before.
8K/10K
AudioQuest’s 48Gbps HDMI cables support video resolutions of up to 10K and resolutions/refresh rates of up to 8K/60 and 4K/120. They are fully compatible with existing 4K displays.
Quartz Glass
Optical Fiber AV conductors in AudioQuest’s HDMI cables eliminate various forms of degradation over long distances, and they are powered by the HDMI port, requiring no AC adapter.
eARC: 0.5% SPC + Level-3 Noise Dissipation
AudioQuest’s eARC cables use 0.5% Silver-Plated Copper (SPC) and Level-3 Noise Dissipation technology for enhanced audio performance.
Level 4+ Noise Dissipation (HDMI): Carbon + Galvanic Isolation + Direction-Controlled
Traditional “100% shielding” is insufficient to protect against the growing effects of Wi-Fi, cellular, and satellite radiation. In AudioQuest HDMI cables, all 19 conductors are Direction-Controlled to minimize the impact of RF noise on performance by directing it away from the most sensitive circuits. Level 4 Noise-Dissipation adds non-conductive fibers that are immune to induced RF noise, while the eARC and control conductors are made from direction-controlled metals. In Level 4+ Noise-Dissipation, a layer of carbon is added to the metal conductors. Additional Noise-Dissipation techniques (Levels 5 and beyond) are applied as budget allows to further reduce noise.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
AudioQuest HDMI cables are crafted to meet stringent standards and undergo rigorous quality control. If, however, your HDMI cable has a genuine manufacturing defect, AudioQuest’s non-transferable original-owner limited lifetime warranty provides coverage for cables purchased through an authorized AudioQuest US dealer. The company will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective HDMI cable that hasn’t been mishandled for the product’s lifetime. Proof of original purchase is required. This warranty is not an upgrade program for AudioQuest HDMI cables designed for previous HDMI specifications. Current AudioQuest models are built to meet HDMI 2.0 (18Gbps) or HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps) standards. All generations of HDMI cables offer some, but not all, of the capabilities enabled by HDMI 2.0 and 2.1. These cables are backward compatible and provide all the features of earlier generations. To fully experience the audio/video benefits offered by the latest HDMI 2.1 hardware, an HDMI cable must meet HDMI specifications, particularly an FRL-enabled bandwidth of 48Gbps. Whether you’re using HDMI-enabled equipment with Standard Speed, High Speed (10.2Gbps), 18Gbps, or Ultra High Speed (48Gbps), AudioQuest’s HDMI “48” Series delivers superior sound and an exceptional experience compared to even AudioQuest’s 18Gbps cables. This warranty is applicable in the United States only. For warranty policies in other countries, please contact your local dealer or distributor.
