The Pro-Ject PJ71658588 Tube Box S2 is our very first product to feature a fully discrete circuit design without using any operational amplifiers (OpAmps). It is also the first product to come with replaceable tubes for tube rolling and sound shaping. This provides customers with numerous options for selecting and altering the sound signature to suit their preferences. The Tube Box S2 delivers a full and relaxed sound with lush midranges, just as one would expect from a much larger high-end tube phono preamplifier.

It supports both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges. Additionally, it offers various gain settings on the front panel. There are five variable input impedance settings available to accommodate any MM cartridge, with a fixed 47,000 ohms input impedance setting suitable for high-output MC cartridges. The Pro-Ject PJ71658588 aluminum/metal casing is designed to complement our DS2 product line in appearance and effectively shields against vibrations and electromagnetic interference, ensuring superior sound quality.

Subsonic Filter: The subsonic filter helps reduce low-frequency rumble and unnecessary amplifier power consumption. The subsonic filter button is located on the front panel.

Gold-Plated RCA Connections: The Pro-Ject PJ71658588 Tube Box S2 features gold-plated RCA connections that ensure corrosion-free signal transfer and excellent clarity in both the input and output stages.

Power Requirements: This tube phono preamplifier operates on standard household current using the included external power supply, which helps minimize noise and interference.

MM & MC Cartridge Support: The Pro-Ject PJ71658588 Tube Box S2 offers support for both MM and MC cartridges, with a range of settings to match your turntable and cartridge type.
